Authentic English pub surroundings, well prepared food and a positive attitude towards well-behaved dogs.
The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly, but lots of people in our party thought the food was "just ok" (although I really enjoyed my vegan Shepard's pie). Additionally the staff member who took our orders did not know how to use the tablet where he was recording our orders effectively, meaning several people who asked for variations e.g. chips instead of mash, did not receive them but got the default dish. Also, allergen information seemed excessively hard to access and the staff member was not knowledgeable. All in all, a bit lacklustre.

Stayed for 2 nights... the landlord and lady are fantastic hosts and nothing was to much..from picking us up from our wedding venue to taking us back in the morning for our car.... the rooms were beautiful and had everything we needed and the breakfast was outstanding. . I would recommend this beautiful place to eat and stay in.. thank you so much for making our stay so pleasent xxx
